COVID-19 has added a safety concern to all Youth Sports.  MSC is following recommendations from the State of Idaho, IYSA and US Soccer to keep our players, coaches, referees and spectators safe.  Please read MSC's COVID policies below as well as the links provided for games taking place in other counties.

​For the safety of players, coaches, referees and spectators MSC has put together the following guidelines for the 2020 Fall Season.  The guidelines will be apply to all MSC practices and MSC’s internal rec games.  ISL competitive and Outback games will fall under IYSA’s requirements.  These requirements will be in effect while Idaho remain in Stage 4 of the Idaho Rebound Plan.  In the event changes are made, you will be updated with the latest information.  These protocols do not supersede the advice, recommendations or diagnosis of medical professionals.
 
Signs and symptoms of COVID-19. (from CDC):
  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
 
Practices:
  1. If a player or coach has tested positive for COVID-19, they must contact MSC President Jeremy Fielding (jfielding@middletonsoccer.org) immediately and not attend or participate in any practice activities for 10 days.
  2. If any player, coach or spectator has been around a person with a confirmed COVID-19 case or has been asked to self-isolate, they must not attend.
  3. If a player or coach becomes ill during practice with the above symptoms, the coach will notify the President in a timely manner.
  4. Hand sanitizer will be used by coaches and players before/after practice and during any water breaks.  Hand sanitizer will be supplied by MSC.
  5. Social distancing will be maintained whenever possible
  6. Players, coaches or spectators who are sick, will not be allowed at practice.
  7. Players and coaches will bring their own water bottles.  Sharing of or community water bottles is not allowed.
  8. Spectators will be allowed to view practice from a safe distance.
 
MSC Academy Games:

  4. If a player or coach becomes ill during practice with the above symptoms, the coach will notify the President in a timely manner.
  5. Masks are encouraged for players when in the bench area and for spectators, but are not required.
  6. Players and coaches must practice social distancing when possible.
  7. Hand sanitizer will be used by players whenever entering and exiting the game.  Hand sanitizer will be provided by MSC.
  8. Spectators must practice social distancing.  Members of the same household may sit together.  Fields will be marked for social distancing.
  9. Players and coaches will bring there own water bottles.  Sharing of or community water bottles will not be allowed.
  10. No group celebrations.  (high 5’s, handshakes, etc.)
